By: Independent Correspondent
While the international community claims to be strengthening the fight against terrorism and war crimes, one name keeps surfacing: Mohadine Babouri. Behind this controversial figure lies a network with bloody ramifications, linked to Islamist militias and the worst atrocities committed in Sudan and Darfur. Yet, despite serious accusations and troubling evidence, Babouri continues to move freely in France, untouched by justice.
Direct Ties to Sudanese Jihadist Groups
According to multiple testimonies and circulating audio recordings, Mohadine Babouri directly supports armed jihadist groups operating in Sudan, notably the Islamist militia Al-Bara’ ibn Malik, notorious for its brutality. His own parents are reportedly fighters within these ranks.
This militia, affiliated with both ISIS and Iran, is accused of massacring over 4,000 people in Darfur and South Sudan, targeting civilians solely based on their skin color. Survivor accounts describe unbearable atrocities: throat-slitting, disembowelment, and even acts of barbarism including cannibalism.
In the Shadows of Sanctioned Jihadist Leaders
Babouri is described as a henchman of Djibril Ibrahim, current finance minister in Burhan’s government, who was sanctioned by the United States for terrorist activities. His networks also link him to former Sudanese minister Ali Karti, a central figure in covert financing and alliances with international terrorist organizations.
In a compromising audio recording, Babouri boasts of having delivered over 600 war-ready Toyota pickups and personally transferring Milan anti-tank missiles purchased in Europe—statements that illustrate direct involvement in arming and strengthening militias in Sudan.
A Racist and Manipulative Strategy
Even worse, Babouri claims to employ a cynical strategy: manipulating Black communities to incite them to kill Arabs in the Sudanese conflict. This deeply racist and divisive rhetoric fuels a logic of hatred that has already cost thousands of innocent lives.
The Shocking Indifference of NGOs and Authorities
The question arises urgently: what are major human rights NGOs like Human Rights Watch, FIDH, or Amnesty International doing? How can their silence be explained in the face of these accusations of war crimes, terrorist complicity, and hate speech?
Even more troubling: Babouri claims to operate from France. Is it not worth recalling that France is supposed to be at the forefront of the fight against terrorism? What are the authorities waiting for to investigate, expel, or prosecute this man?
A Call for Justice
Allowing such individuals to act freely, while thousands of families in Darfur and Sudan continue to mourn their dead, is an insult to the memory of the victims. It is urgent that international jurisdictions and the concerned states take responsibility.
The time for silence is over: Mohadine Babouri must answer for his actions.
